About Us

• We are an informal group of friends (by profession teachers, entrepreneurs, engineers, scholars, salaried employees, social workers, etc.).

• We came together in the month of April this year with a common aim of supporting people who are largely affected due to the CoVID-19 & ongoing lockdown situation. These people are basically ‘Pay-Cheque-Clients’.

• We had to marshal all available resources and capacity to try and reach out to the less fortunate, Since 3^rd April 2020, we have been trying to lend as many hands as possible to those who are under-equipped to deal with this crisis, so most of our efforts have been confined to arranging one of the most basic human needs – food.

• Migrants, slum dwellers without ration cards, cut-off from existing supply chains or where government help has not yet reached, pavement dwellers, the homeless on the streets, railway stations & many more are right now struggling to acquire food to feed their children and themselves, now we are happy to know that our effort is causing a little smile on their face.

• Shibasish conceived the idea first.

• The rest of the team members came together to support the idea and working since 3^rd April 2020.

• We started doing it at the central location of our hometown Serampore only, then expanded to every nook & corner and outskirts of the town.

• We started with feeding 30 people a day, in the last week of April’20 the number reached 70.

• Due to some unavoidable circumstances, we had to stop the distribution of cooked food, instead, we are giving food grains & other essentials since 3^rd May 2020.

Compassionately serving the poor and those who are in need, strengthen individuals & families by enhancing their quality of living.
